Welcome to Bridgewater Primary School

Bridgewater Primary School is a progressive school community, nestled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

We have around 190 students, Reception through to Year 6, and a group of talented educators who ensure children have a broad and varied educational experience. Our school believes that learners need tailored learning opportunities and time to build their understandings.

Bridgewater PS teachers invest heavily in best-practice education methods to ensure our students are successful in developing their skills and expertise as academic, social-emotional and physical learners.

Opportunities are provided for students to follow their passions and areas of interest and skill. Creativity is valued and students can explore the arts with spaces to paint, dance, sing and play musical instruments. Students garden and cook, take part in interschool sporting events, have a voice in Student Parliament and can bring books to life as part of the Hills Readers Cup.

Our children are thinkers, who consider important questions about their place in our close communities and the wider world.

Strong family partnerships have helped develop our Community Kitchen and Garden Program, following work with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation. This continues to be a joyous program for our students and a regular opportunity for parent involvement in children’s learning.

Recent successes include high levels of academic achievement (acknowledged by NAPLAN), Cross-country district champions, The Governor’s Civics Award recipient 2022 and winners of a SALA schools award.
